About this website

This website is published by TDR Electrical Ltd, registered in England & Wales, company number 16587666, registered office Unit 3 Chiltern Court, Asheridge Road, Chesham HP5 2PX, VAT number 497343353. NAPIT registered, number 74093. TrustMark registered.

We keep the information here accurate and current, and the Google review figures are checked against the live profile. Prices are real starting prices for a typical job, on the assumptions set out below. The price you pay is the one in your written quote.

How we quote and charge

  • Surveys and quotes are free.
  • A written quote is the price you pay. If something unexpected is found during the work, we stop, tell you, and price it separately before carrying on.
  • Written quotes are valid for 30 days from the date on the quote. After that we are happy to re-quote, but the price may change.
  • Time-charged work, such as fault finding, is billed at the published labour rate for the time of day: a first-hour rate, then an hourly rate. There is no separate call-out fee.
  • Parts are charged on top of labour, and so is the time spent collecting them if the job needs something the van does not carry.
  • If we cannot finish a fault on the first visit, we make it safe and quote the repair in writing.
  • Prices shown to homeowners include VAT. Prices shown to landlords, agents and businesses are ex VAT. Every quote states both.
  • We ask for a 50% deposit when you accept a quote. The balance is due on completion, or at the stages set out in the quote for larger jobs such as rewires. Time-charged work is paid on completion. Account customers are invoiced on the terms agreed for the account.

Published prices and online estimates

Every price on this site, and every figure from our online estimate tool, assumes a typical job in a typical property: normal access, standard cable runs, sound existing wiring where we are not replacing it, and nothing unusual behind the walls or under the floors. They are starting points, not quotes.

If your job is larger or more involved than that, for example a rewire in a bigger or older property, a long or buried run to an EV charger, or a fuse board that needs remedial work before it can be changed, the written quote will be higher and we will show you why, line by line, before you commit. Online estimates are a guide only. The written quote is the only price you pay.

Published prices and online estimates are Kent prices. Work in London, including the Bromley and Orpington areas, is subject to a price review, and the written quote for a London job may differ from the figures on this site.

Guarantees

Our work carries a 12-month workmanship guarantee: if something we fitted fails within a year because of our workmanship, we come back and put it right at no charge. Notifiable work registered through NAPIT also carries the NAPIT Work Quality Guarantee for six years, which is backed by the scheme. Neither covers damage caused by others, misuse, or faults in parts of the installation we did not work on.

Cancellations

You can cancel or move a booked survey or job by calling 01732 655003. For consumers who book at a distance, the Consumer Contracts Regulations give you a 14-day cancellation right; if you ask us to start within that period you agree to pay for work done up to the point of cancellation.

Complaints

If something is not right, tell us first: info@tdrelectrical.co.uk or 01732 655003. We aim to acknowledge within two working days and resolve within ten. If we cannot resolve it, NAPIT and TrustMark both operate independent complaints processes for registered work.

Liability and law

We carry £5m public liability insurance. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
