EICR Testing & Certificates

An EICR is an Electrical Installation Condition Report, the formal inspection that tells you whether a property's fixed wiring is safe. Landlords in England must have a valid EICR for every rented property, renewed at least every five years. We test everything properly, explain the report in plain English, and issue the certificate normally within 48 hours of the inspection.

Great service. Tim was quick to respond to my message and arrived on time. He resolved my electrical issues quickly and professionally and I appreciated the manner in which he communicated and engaged. A strong service minded electrician who is reliable, what more could I ask for.

No hesitation in making 5 star review. Great service from Tim. Two new consumer units fitted and full test. Expertly dealt with the old wiring issues to make good. Would I use again? Absolutely.

FAQ

EICR Testing & Certificates questions

At least every five years in England, and at the start of a new tenancy if the existing report has expired. You must give a copy to tenants and to the local authority on request.
C1 means danger present, immediate risk, and needs fixing straight away. C2 means potentially dangerous and needs fixing for the report to pass. C3 means improvement recommended but not a fail. We explain exactly which of these you have and what each one actually means for you.
No. We quote remedial work separately and in writing so you are never pushed into repairs on the spot, and you are free to take that quote elsewhere.
Normally within 48 hours of the inspection. If you need it faster for a tenancy start date, tell us when you book and we will work to it.
