How the estimate works

Every figure the tool shows is one of our published starting prices, the same numbers you will find on the pricing page. Nothing is calculated, guessed or generated. If a job is not one we can price without looking, the tool says so and books you a free survey instead of inventing a number.

A starting price assumes a typical job in a typical property: normal access, standard cable runs, sound existing wiring where we are not replacing it. If yours is bigger or more involved, the written quote is higher and we show you why, line by line, before you commit. The written quote is the only price you pay.

No. It is our published starting price for a typical job of that kind, the same figure you will find on the pricing page. Your quote is the written price we give you after a free survey, and that is the price you pay.
Because your property is not typical. A bigger or older house, solid walls, a long or buried cable run, a fuse board that needs remedial work first. If any of that applies, the quote shows the reason line by line before you commit, and you are free to walk away.
No. Surveys and written quotes are free, anywhere in our service area. For a lot of small jobs we price from photos and skip the visit altogether.
You land on our booking form with your answers attached. It creates a job on our system straight away, you get an automatic acknowledgement, then a person. In working hours, 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday, we come back to you within 2 hours.
